“LORD, it is nothing for you to help, whether with many or with those who have no power” (II Chronicles 14:11).
Asa was the sixth king to rule Judah. Once he became the King. He began to seek God wholeheartedly with love. This made the city to be peaceful for ten years. It rested without any enemy.
But later, for no reason, many nations aligned with the Ethiopians and waged war against Asa. The strength of the enemy’s army stood at ten lakhs and they also possessed three hundred chariots. Israel was not that much powerful and hence a sense of defeat came into Asa. He began to feel to be weak. So, he straight away went to God’s presence and prayed: “Lord, it is nothing for you to help, whether with many or with those who have no power”.
Look! During the times of Judges, there were only three hundred soldiers in the army of Gideon. But the Midianites were countless like the sand of the seashore. At this situation, it was nothing for God to make the Israelites victorious. It was nothing for God to help the tiny David to defeat the giant like Goliath. If God stands in help for BY you, you will easily overcome all your problems and struggles.
Similar to this Asa looked at God and said “An army of a million men are coming against me. But there are crores of angels in your battalion. Stars are there. Cherubim and Seraphim are there. It is nothing for you to defeat this Ethiopians. If God is by my side, who can be against me?”
God made a covenant with Joshua and said “o man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5). So, dear children of God, Even if the mountain like huge problems stands against you, do not get discouraged. It is nothing for God to solve them.
On September 11th of 2011, the famous ‘World Trade Centre’ in United States of America was demolished due to the conspiracy of the enemies. On November 26th the city of Mumbai was attacked by the terrorists. The renowned Hotel Taj was burnt. God is the only refuge for His children. He is always eager to favour you. He is the one to litigate for you. He is the one to wage war for you.
So, never look at the problems. Look at God who loves you with true love and who has made the covenant with you. For your sake, He will do everything.
To meditate: “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you shall glorify me” (Psalm 50:15).
